About Laura Hemming
Laura Hemming is a PhD student at the University of Manchester. Her PhD explores male prisoners difficulties understanding and describing feelings, and how this might relate to experiences of suicide and violence. Prior to her PhD, Laura worked as a researcher at The McPin Foundation, where she developed a passion for patient and public involvement in mental health research. Laura also has a passion for the sharing of mental health research using accessible language, and is therefore employed as a part time project co-ordinator for The Mental Elf.
